HO Scale MDC Roundhouse / Athearn Ore Car Removable Load Insert

If you have a vintage 1980s-1990s MDC Roundhouse ore car in need of a load that can be removed, then this one is for you! These inserts help to achieve just the right angle of repose and that distinctive hump shape on top. This should also fit the Athearn ore cars as they use the original MDC Roundhouse tooling. In any event, some simple scaling in your slicer should allow for any needed adjustments. One .STL file is provided which can be printed and then covered with the ore load granules of your choice. Gluing/application is just like doing roadbed ballast for the railroad track. Priming or painting these inserts before gluing is recommended to help promote adhesion. ENJOY!
